In memory of a hero

180px-Monsoor_2We actually did this in the middle of last year but didn’t have blogging capability at the time. Well we do now so today we wanted to show off a piece we donated for a worthy non-profit youth program called the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps.

They have a unit called the Michael A Monsoor Battalion, named in honor of the Navy SEAL, Michael A Monsoor, who died laying on a grenade to save his fellow SEALs. We incorporated some elements related to him and the Navy SEALs as well as the Medal of Honor he won into a new unit logo.

Michael A Monsoor received many awards, such as the medal of honor, purple heart, etc. His bio can be found at: http://www.navy.mil/moh/monsoor/ More information about the Sea Cadets can be found in the attachment and at: www.seacadets.org . We encourage you to take a moment to look at both sites.

Here is the finished full color unit logo as well as the finished shirts the  Sea Cadet now Battalion wears.
